    We meet in centrally located Bourke St Mall to begin our afternoon exploring Melbourne's laneways.

  • Manchester Unity Building (Pass By)

    Learn what made this building the talk of the town when it opened in 1932, while we taste a couple of the ultimate Aussie dishes!

  • Collins Street (Pass By)

    We stroll along the Australia's most prestigious street learning about it's place in the city's history.

  • Degraves Street

    Melbourne's best known and most bustling laneways are perfectly located for us to take a break, do some people watching and taste a couple more Melbourne favorites.

History and great food from hole in the wall spots

Really fun way to learn more about Melbourne. Some AWESOME Asian food. Best bahn mi I have ever had. Some really great dumplings as well. Would definitely recommend to a newbie to the city to learn more and try some foods would probably never would have tried.

What a way to see Melbourne on foot, learn the history of the city, and eat delicious food. I am still thinking about the banh mi sandwich! Our tour group was lucky to have Andrew as our fearless leader, who led us through the streets and arcades of the city ensuring we had only the best coffee, sweets, and savory foods. He even went above and beyond, providing us with a list of restaurant recommendations (broken down by food genre) which helped guide my mom and I for the rest of stay in Melbourne. All excellent recommendations--Andrew knocked it out of the park!

This tour took us through some of the lanes and alleyways that we probably wouldn’t found on our own, as well as some popular areas. In addition to sampling various types of food enjoyed by locals, our guide, Chev, related some background historical information about Melbourne. There were some alternative choices for those who didn’t like certain foods, pork or coffee, for example. The group of 10 was a good size.
