I propose a touching tour in YANAKA area, which will give you the chance to know a good old-days Japanese life-style and its traditional culture! You will take a walk dressed with Yukata or Kimono together with AKIZAKURA's Kimono Upcycled Umbrella. you can have a lot of commemorative photos at each photogenic spot in YANAKA, for your unforgettable experience in Japan. Japanese Kimono culture has long history and it was deeply accepted into Japanese life-style, Kimono was not only the clothes but also a good showcase of idea for sustainable. Itinerary

  • Yanaka

    First, when you arrive at the meeting point, we introduce ourselves to each other. After that, You will be dressed Yukata(summer cotton kimono) in summer, and Kimono in winter time. (Now Kimono) You can choose, in advance, your preference from a selection of about 50 Yukata or Kimono. I offer authentic kimono made from silk, produced in the traditional way. It is very comfortable to wear and very beautiful. The dressing time depends on the number of people, but ranges from 30 minutes to one hour.

  • Yanaka District

    City walk. You can enjoy the old streets of Japan. During a walk, I show you the stylish walking-manner with Yukata and Kimono, way of sitting-down, and pattern of behavior. And I tell you about Japanese culture.

  • Nezu Shrine

    We take a lot of pictures at Nezu Shrine. Nezu Shrine is one of the most beautiful shrines. The shrine pavilions are magnificent, there are many torii (red gates) and you can take very beautiful pictures wherever you take pictures. If you wish, I can also shoot video. Before enjoying the photography, I will also give you a lecture on how to visit a full-scale Japanese shrine.

An excellent experience to dive into Japanese culture

This experience was truly enriching. It was my first time wearing a kimono and strolling around in it, as well as my first time attending a Japanese tea ceremony. I highly recommend this activity as it offers a unique immersion into Japanese culture and is absolutely worth it. The photos and videos taken during this experience are of high quality and will form memories of my trip to Japan !

Wonderful way to remember your time in Tokyo! We have SO MANY beautiful pictures thanks to our perfect guide. The tour is well planned, and our guide very efficiently walked us to a nearby shrine to capture photos of my family and me in traditional Japanese garb. (You choose from a variety of beautiful fabrics in advance). Because the kimonos and the shrine are already so beautiful, the standard option of being photographed with a cell phone worked for us. We’re so glad we did this!

This was a great experience for my first time in Tokyo. We booked it somewhat last minute and Sayoko was flexible and clearly communicated. We ended up adding on the tea ceremony which was also very interesting to be a part of and witness. They were all kind, welcoming and it was such a pleasure to meet and be in the home. I would highly recommend this experience!

Sayoko is so nice! I love my pictures from the shrine. I have a condition that makes it hard to walk for long periods and she was very accommodating. I’m also a transgender male and she helped me with my male kimono and posing, which meant a lot to me! It was a great experience I recommend!!
