The green countryside by coach, passionate briefing on the Ayutthaya by tour guide Dona, and the lunch on the cruise back. The historical ruins are a real treasure to see.
Excellent Tour

We had read quite a few reviews on different tours to Ayutthaya and were a little worried about a number of people saying there was not enough time at the ruins. I am glad to say, we found it plenty of time. For us, as it is for many, the humidity was a killer and we found the time spent at each place allowed us to enjoy the sites and then be back on the bus for a bit of relief. It is an early start but we were not in the pick up zone so did not have to be there until 7.15 a.m. Beware, if you are making your own way to the bus departure meeting point, allow plenty of time. The traffic was horrendous. We only just made it. All staff were extremely courteous and our guide Paishn was very knowledgeable. The only negative is that we just could not hear his commentary on the bus and could only pick out a few bits and pieces as he spoke. We were given an ice cold bottle of water as we got back on after the first stop which was appreciated The luncheon cruise was relaxing and the food was delicious with plenty of variety. The other misconception we made was in thinking the cruise came back down the river from a point after Ayutthaya and we were not the only ones. In fact, the bus took us back to the pickup point and we hopped on the cruise there. All in all, this was good value for money and we would definitely recommend.
We really loved this tour

The guide was very nice and answered to all our questions and provided an overall nice insight into the history of the places we visited She even knew architectural details of the temples. Great experience, We really loved the tour, although it was extremely hot. It was a very wonderful experience.
Great tour and well worth taking if you have a day to spare in Bangkok

Really enjoyed this tour. It was well guided by the very charming and helpful Paihsahn. The trip takes in the royal summer palace, the old capital Ayutthaya and a river cruise back to Bangkok. There is a good balance between information provided by the guide and time simply to wander around. An excellent lunch was served on the boat and the 2 hour journey back to central Bangkok was a treat taking in all the sights of the city from the river. Timings worked like clockwork, including pick up and drop off. In my view the tour is pricey, but worth it.
