The tower of Berlin's city hall doesn't just show Italian influences, it's height rather was a provocation to the royals residing just around the corner.

Berliner Dom (Pass By)
Looks like it was build in the 1600's, but only about 60 years older than the post modern TV-Tower - welcome to Berlin.
Humboldt Forum
First palace of the king, then palace for the "democracy" of the GDR and now a bundle of museums in a building looking much older than it is.

Having to endure four reconstructions, this opera is still most famously known for being the first in the world open to the common folk.

Currently being extensively refurbished, this square with it's two almost identical churches and the concert house in the middle is often labelled as Berlin's most beautiful.

Checkpoint Charlie
**Only incl. in the English version** The most famous border station of the Cold War.
10 minutes
Potsdamer Platz
Roaring traffic cross and place to be at night in the "Roaring Twenties", followed by the very definition of no man's land during the division of Berlin, Europe's biggest construction site around the Millennium, defining Berlin's complex attempt of reuniting what was formerly torn apart.
10 minutes
The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
How to deal with the indescribable crimes commited by Nazi Germany? Germany tries not to bury it's dark past. It tries to learn from it. You need to see it by yourself!

Amazing, highly recommend!
Published on Oct, 2024
Amazing experience! The bikes were fine, the guide had a lot of knowledge about the history of Berlin and he also gave us some great recommendations about things to do, things not to do and where to eat(that also saved us some money, always good).
Thank you so much. It was for my mother’s 50th birthday and she still talks so much about this experience

Perfect way to be introduced to Berlin

I highly recommend Free Berlin's bike tour. They were well organized and our guide Juliette was very knowledgeable and a great host. You don't have to be an expert on the bike to enjoy this tour. We moved at a comfortable pace - and there was always time to stop and ask more questions. This is the best way to see Berlin!
GREAT BERLIN BIKE TOUR
Published on Oct, 2024
Carl was an excellent guide to Berlin, he made every stop interesting and in a morning we gained a good overview of the city and its history. The bikes were very suitable also, with lights, good brakes and helmets.
The group (about ten) was also a very good size so it was easy to hear what Carl was saying and he was able to answer our questions.
This tour was great, me...

This tour was great, me and my friends had a good time and we enjoyed it. Our tour guide Giuletta (Appologies if the spelling is wrong) was excellent, she was passionate about the tours and extremely knowledgeable and shared her own insights as well. Would definitely recommend it to others.
