Overview

Prepare for a real rustic Alberta mountain adventure at Boundary Ranch! Discover the breathtaking scenery of the Kananaskis Valley on horseback along the 1-hour Buffalo Loop. Journey into remote boreal forests and enjoy the serenity of the backcountry with friendly and professional guides. Trail rides are suitable for riders of any level, and no previous experience is required. Please Note: Minimum of 2 people required per booking

Itinerary

Our one hour Buffalo Loop is an ideal introduction to horses and trail riding. Relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel through the wooded terrain surrounding Boundary Ranch. Your ride will pass by our Buffalo Paddock with our Bull and his cows along with last years calves and maybe even a new addition from this spring! As you wind your way through the forest, you might even see some other wildlife on our trails, so keep your eyes open for squirrels, marmot, deer, elk and more!

Participants should wear long pants and sturdy closed-toed shoes; skirts, sandals, and high heels will not be permitted

I went with my 9 year old daughter. It was our first time riding and it was such a wonderful experience . The staff and horses were amazing .

The horseback ride was absolutely amazing! The Boundary Ranch peeps are incredibly welcoming and patient. Shoutout to Jake, the horse, for making my first horseback ride legendary:)) Stunning views, cannot recommend more!!

This was an excellent experience. While the trails were a bit muddy due to the rain the experience was nothing bug amazing. We (myself, two young adults, and a child) had amazing blue skies and a great ride through Kananaskis. I would do this again in a minute. The facilities were amazing clean and just stunning.

We have been to Boundary Ranch several times and each time was simply amazing. From trail rides to sleigh rides, this place never disappoints. Wonderful, kind, helpful and knowledgable staff assure a great experience . I love and appreciate how much they care about their animals. Beautiful horses . My family and myself look forward to many more visits . Don't miss this yewel in the Kananaskis !

Horseback riding through the path was great! All of my family enjoyed a lot! All the houses were really calm and patient with beginners. We really appreciate this great experiences and look forward to riding again.
