Overview

Explore the nocturnal side of the Academy at NightLife and see what's revealed. Enjoy an amplified evening with access to a private exhibit area with two free drinks and light bites surrounded by dazzling geology specimens. Receive expedited entry to some of the Academy's most popular exhibits, treat yourself with discounts on dining and shopping, and sit back and relax in a planetarium show. From 6pm to 10pm, Ages 21+ with valid, physical photo ID.

    Enjoy after-hours entry with an upgraded experience to the NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences, every Thursday from 6-10 pm. This weekly event for guests aged 21+ features all of the Academy’s exhibits, music, cocktails, and special themes*!  *Check website for theme details.

Great experience but a few administrative problems

Although the Academy was excellent there were some problems with the ticketing that should be addressed. Nobody seemed to know about the tickets that were supposed to be issued to us on arrival but the staff did sort out the problem without too many hassles.

It was a fantastic tour - great value for what is included! Only complaint is that we didn't get to see as much as the academy afterwards since it closes at 10pm. Suggest taking the 6pm tour and don't miss the earthquake simulator!
