Overview

On this tour, you will put aside your worries, you will relax and enjoy the immensity of the very humid tropical forest of Costa Rica. Some important aspects to take into account: Canoes are small boats. Maximum 8 people per canoe (typical canoe with paddles). It is worth mentioning that it is not necessary to row if you wish, the guide will do it. We offer 3 different schedules to make the tour, however, we recommend doing the 6:00 am, since at this time the animals are more active and the temperature is the best. If you carry your camera, do not forget to take something to protect it against water, since the weather conditions are quite unpredictable and it can rain at any time.

Tortuguero National Park

During the Canoe Tour, you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Tortuguero wetland. In addition, we will have the opportunity to observe the representative fauna of the area as they are: alligators, many birds, basilisks, monkeys, sloths, among other species. The biodiversity in this type of forest is very abundant, however, we know that animals are in their natural habitat and we depend totally on what nature allows us to appreciate. The guide will take a tour of the channels, sharing information and showing the secrets that are hidden in it.

Great kano experience!

Great experience! We left at 6am for the kano tour by paddle. It is very nice to go over the water with the paddles instead of a motorized boat. Als better for the environment! The guide was very knowledgeable and took us the see several beautiful animals. We saw some birds, leguanas and a caiman to tol it of. Thank you for the tour!

Sandy was a great guide, he could answer all our questions and found us some cool wildlife! We saw a cayman (my highlight), a spider monkey, howlers, 2 sloths and loads of cool birds/bats. A must do in Tortuguero, especially early in the morning

Great tour and guide

We had a flexible guide, it was pouring rain when we were supposed to leave at 6am. Our guide, Diego, proposed to leave at 9am, by then it had stopped raining. We did our tour completely dry. We saw some great animals, like a Cayman, howler monkeys, ara's, sloths, different kinds of birds and iguana's. Definitely recommend this tour, we would not have been able to spot these animals on our own.

Paddle the backwaters of the lagoon

Lovely relaxing paddle boat tour of the lagoon and canals. Saw lots of cayman, iguana and heron and our guide Jairo was friendly and knowledgable with excellent English. We paddled all the way which was much more relaxing than the electric or motor boats that disturb the wildlife. Strongly recommend this tour.
