Overview

On this 90 minute historic, ghostly walking tour in uptown Charlotte you'll be guided by lantern light, listening to the stories and haunts of local history. Explore the sites where some of Uptown's departed inhabitants are said to still linger. See some of Charlotte's famous and sometimes infamous landmarks, and learn how the ghostly past has shaped the city of Charlotte today.

Itinerary

  • Fourth Ward

    We go back into the 4th ward of Charlotte stopping at known haunts along the way. 1st public hospital in the state, old NC medical college, stories of gold mines and tunnels, as well as a few of the most haunted houses in Charlotte

  • Old Settlers Cemetery

    We will enter the cemetery and tell you a lot of the spooky history that surrounds it.

Elizabeth is a great teller of ghost stories and knows the city and its legends very well. The tour is fun and very interesting for all ages. I recommend it 100%

Our tour guide was very dramatic but in the best way possible. I never got bored and it was all very interesting. I had a great time. The tour was honestly better than I thought it was going to be.

Great guide and tour. Lots of history and knowledge of the subject and always keeping tabs of what’s going on and when and with whom. Personality was awesome. The way she dressed for the occasion was awesome. The character made it so much more. Loved the whole thing. Would do it again next time we come down.

Elizabeth was great! Her history & story telling kept the trip alive & involved. Highly recommended! Only thing is, I wish they would allow you to add a tip on the end of your ticket purchase because not everyone carries cash anymore & tips aren’t given when they should be.
