Meeting points

The meeting point is in the square in front, OUTSIDE, of the Basilica of Santi Cosma and Damiano, the church is located on Via dei Fori Imperiali (half way) & is close the entrance of the Roman Forum. You will see our staff in front of the Basilica wearing a uniform with the logos of the company.

Itinerary

  • Colosseum

    Your guide will offer a brief introduction of Ancient Rome, getting every member of the group up to speed with the key aspects of the fascinating history of Ancient Rome. Your small group will then head to the most iconic symbol of Ancient Rome, the Colosseum. Armed with Colosseum, your guide will maximizing your time here in Rome. As you enter the Colosseum you will be blown away by this spectacularly preserved theatre. Included sites: 1st and 2nd level Please note: the 3rd floor, the Arena floor and the Undergrounds are NOT included

  • Foro Romano

    From the Colosseum you will proceed to the famous Palatine hill, one of Rome's seven hills. The place where the emperors used to live, you will enjoy a stunning view over the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus.

  • Palatine Hill

    You will then climb down to the fascinating Roman Forum, the meeting point of Ancient Rome. Strolling among these ancient ruins, you will feel like you've been transported to another world. Your guide will use overlay books and 3D pictures to help you to visualize how magnificent these ruins once were. Bring Ancient Rome to life with this best-selling small group tour.

Breathtaking. It’s history. All I can say. We bought tickets on the official site. Visited Colosseum first then Roman Forum. Didn’t have audio guides but used Rick Steve’s Pocket Guide to Rome. Excellent commentary and it was super informative for Roman Forum, even kids got it.

It is worth the price. It is a great 4 km walking tour of breathtaking scenery and history. Our guide Marcus was highly informed, witty, caring, friendly and easy to understand. A gifted narrator. The colosseum is like time travel back!

Everything about this experience was EXCELLENT. I visited with 14 friends and family. Booking with Rome Private Guides was easy. They set up the tour I requested quickly, responded promptly to emails, and even arranged for a last minute change without a problem. Our tour guide, Chiara Ferralis, was friendly, very knowledgable and easy to understand. She was great at answering questions and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. The tour was everything I hoped it would be. Everyone in the group had a great time, and our group included a number of people, including me, who had visited Rome many times before.
