Discover all that the Eastern Cape bush veld has to offer during a Day Safari at Pumba Private Game Reserve. Our Day Safari offer the perfect opportunity to experience the thrill of spotting Africa’s wildlife in their natural habitat. The reserve is home to Africa’s Big Five as well a pride of self-sustaining and free roaming White Lion, hippo, hyena, cheetah, giraffes, various antelope and more than 300 bird species. Feel the heartbeat of nature as you explore the reserve in custom land rovers with a guide's expertise to teach you everything you ever wanted to know about these animals.

Itinerary

  • Pumba Private Game Reserve Day Safari

    • 09h30: Welcome drink on arrival at Main Gate • 10h00: Depart on game drive 2 - 2.5 hours long on an open luxury Land Rover with one of our trained and knowledgeable rangers. Your ranger will answer any questions you may have as well as provide many interesting facts about the vegetation and animals, you encounter.  • +-12h30: Your day will be complemented with a delectable meal and refreshments • +-13h30: And finally, when you are ready to leave, we will drive you back to your point of transfer. • The Day Safari is suitable for ages 8 years and older • Voted one of CNN's Top 10 'Best Safari Experiences' in the world!

We have been to 4 day safaris at different private game reserves on this holiday. All have been excellent, provided unbelievable experiences and incredible value. However just like in 2020 when we visited South Africa, Pumba wins hands down as being the best. You are treated as VIPs as soon as you arrive and feel the same throughout the day until you eventually say goodbye. Every member of staff make you feel special. Nathy?was our tour guide and he provided so much information as he searched out and found the animals. The drive itself was comfortable albeit the vehicle is driving on rough tracks. Lunch was an unbelievable memory. The server just asked what you didn’t want on the menu and you got served the rest as well as a generous amount of wine. Still can’t believe the day we had or the price we paid

We had a wonderful time at Pumba! It is massive, so it was more difficult to find all of the animals, plus it was a windy day, so many were hiding, but we still saw lots of beauties! We saw 2 male lions, but they hid before we could get pictures. Our guide was nice, and the lunch was delicious, as well as entertaining with the monkeys all around!
