King Ramses II built the Temple of Abydos in the area next to the city of Sohag in memory of his father, King Seti I. The temple of Abydos is one of the most beautiful temples because of its bright colors and beautiful inscriptions and its importance is due to the imams of the kings existing in the temple, which chronicles all kings beginning from the kings of the first family. The visit starts from Luxor in the early morning and the journey by car to reach any temple of Abydos takes 2.5 hours

The Dendera Temple dates from the Greek period to reflect the fusion of Pharaonic civilization with ancient Greek civilization. The temple was built specifically to worship the goddess Hathor, the goddess of goodness and blessing. You will visit him on the oudou road of Abydos Temple

Excellent organization and communication from Discover Luxor. The guide and driver arrived promptly ensuring a smooth start to our day. We had a fascinating visit to two incredible temples. Our guide was wonderful, knowledgable l, fluent in English and engaging. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her warmth and great care. We felt well looked after and had a lot of fun!

Dendara and Abydos are truly spectacular! Although the drive is a bit lengthy. It’s defiantly worth it. Our guide was outstanding, his extensive knowledge and great sense of humor made the trip unforgettable. He’s simply fantastic. Just WOW

Den data and Abydos are incredible sites that are definitely worth the visit. Our tour guide was exceptional, she possessed an impressive depth of knowledge about Egyptian history and truly enhanced our experience. I would have loved to have her as our guide for the entire trip! Our driver was also ver skilled and together they made this journey unforgettable.
