The Perfect Tour!
Published on Nov, 2024
I am a first time visitor from the US and came to see my daughter who is studying abroad this fall at Sogang University. This was a perfect tour as we were able to experience 4 different places together. We chose a Palace (with changing of the guards), Hanok Village, a Temple and the Botanical Gardens. Our tour guide Joseph was amazing and really took care of us. He also took many pictures of my daughter and I all day and forwarded them all to me after the tour. So thankful to have the pictures and for his expertise.
DIY Seoul Private Tour

We had a great day with Joseph. He helped us re-arrange our day last minute to get the most of it. He was personable, knowledgeable, grabbed us a great spot to see the changing of the guard ceremony at the Palace, took looks of great pictures for us &, best of all, gave us plenty of time at all stops to let us see everything without feeling rushed.
One note - most Palaces & Museums are closed on either Mondays or Tuesdays so do your research before choosing your tour day.

I picked this tour when I did not find a tour that matched where I wanted to go This tour allowed me to piece together my ideal tour. Our tour guy Leo was fantastic! I Highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgeable and took us to our choice of sites. Felt that he gave us a wonderful tour. Also suggested a delicious place for lunch.
Great way to tour Seoul at your pace

This was the perfect tour for my daughter and I. I don't like to do big tour groups, so this was a great option because we were able to pick the places we wanted to go. Our guide Joseph took us to rent hanbok prior to entering the Gyeongbokgung Palace. He also knew the perfect place to stand for viewing the changing of the guard ceremony. He instructed us not to enter the palace until after the ceremony because you cannot exit once you enter. Also, note that if you rent the hanbok, palace entrance is free. Note, that you do have a time limit on the hanbok so plan accordingly. We next went to Starfield Coex and ate lunch and browsed the library and mall. Joseph also helped us find stores we were looking for which was really helpful since most of the staff only spoke Korean. The last place was the museum. We could have gone 4 place but we were exhausted so we only did 3. The best things is having the guide and they drive you everywhere so you don't have to worry about transportation to places making this a great value.
