DMZ
The building, which means "the pavilion of the Imjin River," is a convenience facility built in 1972. As a rest stop for displaced people on their way – they hoped – to the North, a place where they could soothe their longing for home.
In this historical space, we will visit Dokgae Bridge, the steam train used during the Korean War, Imjingak's statue of peace, Mangbaedan and Manghyang's Songbi to learn about the history and culture of this place.
30 minutes
Dora Observatory
At this time, the destination will be changed according to the number of people who participated in the tour.
When touring with more than 30 people, visit the Dora Observatory and the Third Tunnel. This is the most representative space that symbolizes the DMZ, and you can see the DMZ, the Gaesong Industrial Complex, and Gaesong at a glance.
If the number of people on the tour is between 20 and less than 30, visit Dorasan Station, a special tour course, and the inter-Korean immigration office. This place is very symbolic and it is the only land-based immigration office in Korea. It is a facility that can handle all immigration-related tasks.
When touring less than 20 people, you will visit the British Military Seolmari Battle Memorial Park. This special monument is a monument to honor the legendary British combat unit during the Korean War, the Gloucestershire Regiment. You can check out the fierce battles that took place at the time and the monument to honor them.

Tongil Village is a settlement in the civilian control zone (CCZ) on the western front of the DMZ, and it is not marked on maps. Access to Tongil Village is only possible with guidance from a village resident after identity verification at Tongil Bridge. Here, visitors can enjoy unique local dishes made with Jangdan soybeans grown in the fertile soil of the DMZ border area. These soybeans are renowned for their exceptional quality, thanks to the clean waters of the Imjin River and ideal growing conditions.
You can choose from Doenjang (fermented soybean paste), Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), or Kongbiji Jjigae (soy pulp stew). Each dish provides a unique opportunity to experience the history of the DMZ and the hard work of Tongil Village residents, who transformed barren land into fertile fields.
Rich in protein and nutrients, Jangdan soybean dishes are also popular among vegetarians, offering a delicious way to experience authentic Korean flavours.
