Overview

Enjoy this nice trip on a boat with a capacity for almost 10eople and be amazed by watching the dolphins and whales in the sea. The boat itself sets sail from La Restinga Pier and the trip is 3 hours long. • You will enjoy the comfort and emotion of traveling aboard this wonderful boat. • You will see dolphins and whales from a very short distance. • Panoramic cruise through the Mar de las Calmas, enjoy the marine fauna and the volcanic landscape.

Itinerary

Unique opportunity to enjoy a pleasant boat trip through the waters that surround the island of El Hierro and see very close to beautiful dolphins, whales and beaked whales (a species of cetaceans very rare to see in all of Europe) The boat trip takes about 3 hours and consists of a pleasant journey through the waters of the Atlantic Ocean that border the southern part of the island. They will sail to the Playa de las Alcuzas cove, where they stop, and you can swim. From there you will get to know “El Mar de las Calmas”, coast of the El Hierro marine reserve. The experienced crew has the support of marine biologists on board who guarantee compliance with the codes of conduct for responsible observation, guaranteeing the conservation of cetaceans and their habitat. The boat will get as close as possible so you can enjoy and take photos of the dolphins and small whales. They will use hydrophones to listen to the sounds emitted by cetaceans, record images and other scientific data. You will have a comfortable deck of the boat with an awning, they have a Blue Flag License, insurance and life jackets. It is an experience that you will never forget.

A very pleasant boat trip

I recommend this experience: we visited the coastline and viewed geological features and caves which can only be se seen from the ocean, stopped for a swim and on the way back we were very fortunate to spot the dolphins! The guide, Dani, is very knowledgeable and always searching for sea life. I advise having jackets for the wind/water splashes and proper hats when it's sunny.
