Experience the enchanting and iconic tulip and flower production fields off the beaten track and up close! Enjoy self-guided trip through the famous Flower Bulb region with the Tulip Tour of Renzy. Take in the colors and the smells, and stop as often as you want for a selfie among the tulip and flower fields. You drive, in the tough, open-cab Twizy, a 20km route along the colorful tulip and flower production fields and to an authentic tulip farm. The onboard audio guide tells you all the ins and outs about the area and shares cool tulip facts. Cruise on country roads along the flowering tulips and park your Twizy beside the road to admire the sea of flowers up close. Driving a Renault Twizy is super easy and fun: on the road you attract a lot of attention! The Twizy is 100% electric and gentle on your ears. Renzy's tip: Experience the sunset and tulip fields all by yourself and no crowds when you book an evening tour from 7pm – 9pm. (sunset around 8.30pm).

  • Renzy is NOT located at Flowerpark Keukenhof itself and our tours do NOT give you access to the park. Our GPS audio tour will show you the tulip and flower production fields surrounding the Keukenhof Flowerpark, an area also known as the Flower Bulb Region
  • We are located within 850mtrs from the main entrance of flowerpark Keukenhof (a 20-minute walk to location Renzy) and easy accessible if you travel by public transport or car from Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport, Leiden and Hoofddorp.   • At least 3 years in possession of a driver's license, age from 21 years old

  • The best time to visit the tulip fields in gorgeous bloom is from mid-April to early May. But it is and remains a natural product so we never know 100% sure when the tulip fields are in bloom.
  • In the Twizy you sit behind each other. There is enough space for 2 adults or 1 adult and a child
  • The Twizy is driven on the normal road with a maximum speedlimit of 30 or 60km per hours, where you also drive a car
  • This is a private self-guided tour, only your group will participate
  • This tour will take place, rain or shine
  • Own risk of €500,- per reserved vehicle

Really fun way to get to see the tulip fields

This was so much fun! It was raining and kind of cold, but April in the tulip fields, what more could you expect? We toured KEUKENHOF gardens first then took an Uber to Renzy location. Easy to do as Uber drivers are lined up right near the taxi drivers. The location / address did not get us exactly to the actual place, but the driver figured it out. We didn’t want to walk since it was raining. It does rain into the car as there are no side windows. We waited a little to see if the rain would stop, then went ahead and left in a light sprinkle. Some of the time you are driving on back country roads and a little of the time you are on a regular road. The GPS was fairly easy to follow and if you make a mistake, it’s easy to u-turn the car. The one thing, the flower farm it just quickly mentions it on the GPS comments. Look for the sign, you don’t want to miss it. It was a nice break and we both had something warm to drink while there. It really is a fun way to get out into the country and see what the tulip fields look like. You can stop almost anywhere to take pictures. The car was very easy to drive, anyone could do it. The instructions they give you were plenty to be able to do it. I really recommend this.

An experience you won't get anywhere else

If you're considering doing the tour, stop thinking and book. The electric Twizzys are a blast to drive and everything you need to know is explained quickly and clearly. You're on the road in no time and the navigation and audio guide make the driving experience a breeze even for those not used to driving on the right. We went at the start of May which meant that the were less Tulips in the fields but we had so much fun driving the cars that it more than made up for it. Plus the included entry to the Tulip Experience Amsterdam meant that we still got our flower experience and photos.

This is the second time we've done this tour, and we loved it. It's so much better than driving a car bc the Twizies are so small you can pull off anywhere and not risk being in the way. Easy to maneuver on the narrow streets filled with bikes. Better then riding a bike if you don't have the stamina or ability to bike the 25k or more it takes to see all the fields. The Twizy is easy to drive and the gps is simple to follow. The screen is very readable and supported by audio which was very helpful. The back seat might be a little tricky to get in and out of if you're a bigger person or an older person. Not an insurmountable task, just takes a little work. This last time I took the tour, my 81 yo mother sat in the rear, so it is doable for sure, just a little cumbersome. They provide blankets for cushioning in the seats or if it's a little colder. Do bundle up if it's a cold day because it gets breezy at top speeds. Our stop midway at the De Tulperij was just lovely. We got a delicious, sweet treat, a coffee and some nice souvenirs. There is a nice, clean bathroom there as well if you need a pit stop midway. I highly recommend this tour for people of all ages.

The only thing poor was directions on getting there. The email said a 2 minute walk from the bus stop. They gave no diection.
