Overview

We are not just teaching the Spanish language but creating an entire immersive experience. Our Spanish School and coffee shop is a unique opportunity to take a vacation in a beautiful country while learning a new language, and learning about Colombian and coffee culture in a fun and relaxed environment. Spanish classes are taught by native speaking Spanish teachers, with a structured study plans from level A1 to level C1 and all teachers have positive testimonials from students who have had the opportunity to enjoy our experience. You will be in the city of Pereira, the heart of the Colombian coffee region. It is a city that is experiencing exponential growth, where life is quiet but exciting at the same time. You will learn Spanish in a relaxed and pleasant way, with classes tailored to your needs whether you want to be able to survive or get by with Spanish, academic Spanish, business Spanish, or Spanish for people who want to live in Colombia.

Itinerary

On the day of your arrival you will receive a welcome coffee and then your Spanish class will start at your agreed upon time. We will identify your learning goals and your current level of Spanish and our native Colombian teachers will create a custom curriculum just for you to guide you on your journey through the Spanish language. On day 2 you will participate in another class and at night you will take part in a language exchange where you can meet more native Spanish speakers and connect with Colombians and other travelers. On the third day you will be able to take your class while touring and visiting all corners of Pereira. On day 4 you will take another Spanish class. On day 5 you will take your daily Spanish class with the option to participate in one of our coffee related activities. At the end of the week you will have a short test to review what you have learned. On day 6 and 7 you will rest and enjoy the city and all the plans you can do. Our adaptable curriculum allows us to teach both online and in person while tailoring the lessons to meet the specific needs of each student. This schedule is repeated every week

My husband and I did face-to-face Spanish classes in Medellin for 7 days. We were looking for survival Spanish to boost the basics we already knew. Juan and Laura went out of their way to make sure the classes were just what we needed. For example, we were going to rent a car and needed to practice how to ask for this and then what to say at the gas station. It was We’re now a lot more confident having conversations with local people, booking buses, taking cabs and all the things we need to get by on our travels. Laura spoke mostly in Spanish which really helped our comprehension. She also gave us tips on some of the things unique to Colombia. The classes were in a clean, bright space with lots of room. Very conveniently located. I highly recommend taking classes with Mr Fox. It was a great experience and very helpful.

I have been taking Spanish classes through Mr. Fox Spanish School for 3 years now. I tried several teachers before finding THE RARE ONE. For 1 year and 4 months, I have been taking classes with Juan and in parallel with other teachers. I can therefore confirm and recommend with certainty that Juan is by far the best teacher I have had so far. He is very organized, offers a real learning methodology, very structured. He provides material during the class and after the class, to study and/or do homework. He is very intelligent and interesting and always manages to find good topics to practice conversation. I used to take Spanish classes with three teachers, now he is the one and only! Thank you Juan for your help, I love my classes with you.

Awesome place to learn Spanish. I came here after a different school sort of lacked to teach me anything concrete and Mr. Fox Spanish School definitely provided a way better experience. They have great teachers and teaching methods. Even as a beginner you'll learn Spanish the right way here.

Spanish School in Colombian Coffee Country

Mr. Fox Spanish School is a diamond in the emerald hills of Colombia. I recently completed four weeks of classes at the school in Pereira, Colombia. It exceeded all of my expectations. Valentina and Sebastian are excellent instructors and with the director, Juan José, they have created a wonderful learning environment. Classes are a balance of some pretty intense grammar instruction with an introduction to the culture and history of Colombia. My eyes were opened to the to complicated struggles of Colombia and my heart opened to its beautiful people. Mr. Fox Spanish School is highly recommended. The Cafe is a great place to hang out and the Sunday night language exchange is great place to meet others interested in learning languages and sharing experiences. Bravo! A+
