We spent the most fantastic week of our lives with Matteo on the beautiful island of Flores for our honeymoon. Matteo was an absolutely fantastic guide - not only was he a great tour guide, driving us around safely and taking us to all the best stops - he quickly became a great friend too. We really felt like we experienced real Flores culture, hanging out with the locals, enjoying amazing local cuisine and entertainment around the whole island. Matteo was very flexible, and catered the tour very well to what we were looking for; always making sure we were well looked after and having an amazing time. Flores is a really fantastic, untouched island. If you want a real authentic experience come to Flores with Matteo. You’ll see amazing animals and alive corals, eat the best seafood straight out the ocean, and experience unmatched Indonesian friendliness and hospitality. If you are looking for a special adventure, look no further. We will be back next year!

We booked a 7 nights-8 days trip with Mateo and it was amazing! He booked all the hotels in advance for us and suggested us an itinerary to visit Flores. The communication between us was very easy, even from Switzerland. We didn’t do our tour with him as he was with other tourists at that time but he coordinated our trip with his cousin Galank who was very nice with us. 100% recommended to visit Flores with a local!

A family adventure to explore the full extent of Flores didn’t disappoint with Amy our driver, organised through Mateo. An amazing experience that will live forever in our memories. We arrived in Ende to be greeted by the friendly and kind Amy. You never know how things will be that are organised via What’sApp and a deposit paid, but it was all it was set out to be and more. Flores is a vast island with a limited road network so you need to be prepared for 3/4 hour drives in between each of the main towns / sights but nothing disappointed. Our driver Amy was careful , kind, great English and generally good fun to be around with an infectious laugh. We met Mateo twice also and he was as kind and caring as Amy. The infrastructure and hotel network across Flores is very limited but we were fortunate to stay in some lovely homestay and a memorable final night experience in a nuns house outside Reuteng. All in all, I would highly recommend Mateo and Amy as a guide. An experience that will live in our minds forever.

I just finished a great 7 day tour of Flores with Mateo Gaton. The island is beautiful, with mountains, great beaches and snorkeling, volcanos and really nice people. It still has an authentic feel to it as opposed to the hectic over touristic Bali. Mateo was really wonderful. He took really good care of me and treated me like family. He arranged for really not just competent but genuinely nice guides for snorkeling and hiking, and explained a lot about the local customs and culture. He was also an excellent driver. I feel really fortunate that I had Mateo as my guide. I don't think the trip would have been the same without him. He was truly kind and helpful.

I can't recommend Mateo and Flores Dreamland Tour more. Everything was great. The majority Flores is beautiful, authentic and unspoilt. From Kelimutu Lakes to the stunning natural hot springs its paradise. Mateo is an excellent guide, knowledgeable, a good driver and your happiness is his main concern. He treats like family and his hospitality is so genuine. I even had a dinner with his family and met some of his friends. Amazing, fantastic.
