Miraflores Visitor Center
We pick you up at your hotel between 7am and 7:30am,
first stop at the Panama Canal. We try to get there by 8am when the visitors center opens to avoid the crowds with prepaid tickets and because this is the best time to see the ships transiting the locks,. By 8:45am we watch the IMAX movie with the recap of the history of the Panama Canal narrated by Morgan Freeman. The IMAX film is included in this tour.

From here we drive towards Ancon Hill passing by former US ARMY base fort Clayton, now the city of knowledge. Driving by different neighborhoods of the Canal Zone, we stop at the Administration Building to explain the history and for pictures.

Flamenco Island
We drive back from the bridge towards the islands along the Amador Causeway to the last island call Flamenco Island where is the PANAMA sign is located for Instagram Pictures.

Punta Culebra Nature Center
Just 10 minutes from Flamenco is the Smithsonian Punta Culebra Research Center and exhibits, with stunning view of the entrance of the canal and very educational exhibits of poisonous frogs, butterfly farm and the sloths located on the trees in this protected area.

Casco Viejo
The best for the end. We can agree for lunch first or the walking tour, either way works. The guide will suggest a Panamenian restaurant so you can have a taste of the local food and flavors. Usually one hour for the lunch, and the walking tour around the old Spanish city by its narrows streets learning all the history continues.
