Overview

The Generals and Generalities tour is for ages 21+ and features some of the most incredible true stories and lesser-known aspects of the Civil War in Savannah. You’ll sip on your favorite drinks throughout your thought-provoking tour and visit some of the most historic areas that played a role in Savannah’s Civil War history. If you have 10 or more guests in one group, please get in touch with the private & group sales coordinator with Ghost City Tours.

You will meet your tour guide on the corner of Liberty and Bull Streets, in front of The Public Kitchen & Bar, which is located at 1 W Liberty St, Savannah, GA 31401.

    Our tour begins at Proof & Provision inside of The DeSoto Hotel. Proof & Provision boasts exquisite barrel-aged cocktails and southern fare. You will discuss General Lee and have the chance to purchase a drink.

    Learn about a pivotal meeting between two generals and discuss General Sherman.

  • Johnson Square

    At this stop you will discuss James Longstreet. You will have to option to purchase a drink.

Apollo was great! He is so knowledgeable and gave so much background having grown up in Savannah. The tour was super interesting and the bars along the way were great! Lots we would have missed without such a knowledgeable guide.
