Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock – or Preikestolen in Norwegian – is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.

Sunrise hike to Preikestolen Pulpit Rock. Pickup is from your hotel/airbnb in Stavanger. We'll have a short drive to the trail head for the hike. When arrived at trail head, we'll start hiking to Pulpit Rock, and reach the plateau before the sun rises.

Wonderful visit, completed this with my partner and was guided by the fantastic Benedicta. She was great with guiding us to the top and gave us great information about lsyefjord The word breathtaking is often thrown about very loosely but it was definitely accurate for the views at the top It was great value for money and I would definitely recommended anyone who is able to do it

Amazing experience with Hege

Went on a hike to pulpit rock last Saturday with Hege and I had the most enjoyable time, she was sick a lovely person, very helpful, interesting and caring- making sure we were all okay up and down and also letting us go at our own pace and stop to take A LOT of pictures!!!!! Thank you so much Hege for making my first trip to pulpit rock and Norway very special!

Unforgettable winter adventure

We went on this hike in December, not knowing what the weather conditions would be. The weather turned out to be perfect, alternating between blue skies and snow storm. Our guide Jakob was really nice and knowledgeable. Beginner hikers should be warned this is not an easy hike. There are several steep climbs and we couldn't have done it without proper equipment (crampons, hiking poles, proper clothing with several layers to adapt to the weather and not get cold or in sweat). All together this was an unforgettable experience. We barely encountered anyone on the trail which made it even more special, so in our case, doing this hike off season was a great idea. Thank you for this amazing experience!

I am not a hiking or athletic person. But my husband and I have enjoyed short hiking in all over the world. When we decided to spend 5 days in Bergen, I found this trip during web searching. We started the trip at 1:05 am with Geir who is really supportive and calm. For me, some points were a little tough, but I could make it without problems. It was such a great feeling when I reach the famous Pulpit Rock. Since it was around 5:00 am, there were not many people. Great Great hiking course that I would like to recommend to everyone.
