Itinerary

  • Daxu Ancient Town

    Located on the northern bank of Li River, some 23 km southeast of Guilin, Daxu ancient town enjoys a humid subtropical climate with beautiful sceneries. Originally built in 200AD with a history over 1800 years, the town already got its fame as one of the four fair towns in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The preserved residences and alleyways we can see today are mostly in the styles of Ming and Qing (1636-1911) dynasties with aged black bricks and grey tiles, standing on the old stone-paved streets. Nowadays, there are still some traditional manual workshops to be discovered making straw sandals, bamboo weaving, traditional funeral articles and clinic using traditional herbal medicine and the old style barbershop. The Wanshou Bridge, a single arched stone bridge, built in Ming Dynasty is the largest highlights in this ancient town. Today, a stop at Daxu Ancient Town is an experience for a deeper knowledge about the life of local people and the historical, and cultural atmosphere.

  • Guilin Yaoshan Mountain Scenic Resort

    Yaoshan Mountain lies in the east of Guilin. The highest peak is 903.3 meters high and is the highest mountain in Guilin. It gets its name from a Yao emperor temple. Each season offers a different view of the mountain. In spring azalea flowers are everywhere, in summer the bamboo compete with each other for greenness and in autumn the red maples with falling leaves make the mountain appear as though it's afire, the winter's snow on mountains is as transparent as pure crystal. Yanshan Mountain has several places of interest including Yao Temple, White Deer Temple, Jade Breast Pond and Tianci Field. Jingjiang King Tomb's covering over 100 square meters are the most famous attractions in the area. The toboggan slide, which is stimulating and interesting, is 100m long with 18 turns sliding down from the top of Yaoshan Mountain. You will have a beautiful view of rocks, flowers and brooks on each side when you slide down the mountain on toboggan.

Happy customers, great experience

Very good experience. Great communication with the organizer, they were flexible to change viewing site since cable car on Yaoshan mountain was out of order. Tour guide Ms Li was super sweet and helpful. She was organized and matched itinerary to our preference. Car was comfy, driver didn't speak English but was friendly. We are especially grateful as the hotel staff told us that due to rainy season Daxu town might not be reachable, but we made it and have seen this beautiful place. Xianggong mountain that we have seen in exchange for Yaoshan was awesome! Tea plantation was a wonderful experience as well. Overall, we recommend IslamiChina Travel, as we are very happy customers.
