Overview

Group lessons with Soul Surf School are a great way to experience surfing some of our world famous breaks in a group setting. We have a number of beaches to chose from in the Byron/Lennox/Ballina area, and our team are dedicated to finding the best, fun and safest waves every day. We run the lowest ratio of instructors to surfers in the area, at 1:7 for adults and from 1:4 for little ones. This ensures that all our surfers receive plenty of attention, individual feedback and all the groms are safe in the water. We have a great range of equipment, with over 80 fun safe soft surfboards and intermediate to advanced boards that will help you to learn faster and catch lots of waves.

Itinerary

Our half-day lesson is a great way to get your surf career started! Our lessons are specifically designed to teach you to surf at your own pace in a relaxed environment to build further self-confidence so you can continue in the sport of surfing and feel confident in the water. You will learn surfing techniques and ocean safety with our qualified surf coaches & surf life savers. All instructors have vast knowledge of the local area and will only conduct lessons in surf conditions in waist deep water with easy and to ride waves in your first lesson. At Soul Surf School we deliver lessons to adults, families, couples, groups and kids 5yrs old and above. ALL OF OUR GROUP LESSONS REQUIRE A MINIMUM AGE OF 13 Y/O. IF YOU WANT TO BOOK IN A CHILD UNDER 13 YRS, PLEASE GIVE US A CALL. If you're an INTERMEDIATE or ADVANCED surfer and/or want to have the lesson tailored to your specific needs, please give us a call for further advice. 3 Night Surf and Stay

We booked the 3 Night Surf and Stay with Soul Surf School and It was the most amazing experience. Over the three days we learned the basic principles of surfing, safety tips and had a chance to progress our skills in the water under the supervision of the instructors. Steph, Matt, Ben and Lawrence were all really patient, encouraging and made the lessons so much fun. The vibes were amazing every day, they always kept the energy up and made sure everyone was having a great time. On the last day Angel the photographer took amazing photos of our group which we were able to purchase at the end which was a really nice touch too. Would 100% recommend Soul Surf School to anyone looking to surf for the first time or to advance their skills, we will definitely be back for more lessons in the future. Thanks guys!!

Had an amazing time surfing, Clem our instructor was very knowledgeable and made it good fun. And as a beginner he explained things simply and an easy way to understand. We even saw dolphins which was amazing! Would definitely recommend this company!
