Overview

In this half day Hyderabad tour, we experience the spellbinding Golconda Fort which is a marvel in acoustic engineering and as impregnable as a fort can get! We will also visit the Qutub Shahi tombs, built in memory of Kings of this dynasty who had a penchant for building beautiful monuments. Even their tombs are spectacular with arches, columns, domes minarets and galleries! This tour is organized by Five Senses Tours, a private limited company recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and a member of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO). The tour has been designed to support local livelihoods by way of employment of local guides, and supporting local businesses in line with the mission of the company to ensure travel dollars stay where they are spent.

    8 AM- Hotel pick up for half day Hyderabad tour We head out to Golconda, located 11 km away from the Hyderabad City. The Golconda fort is arguably the greatest hill fortress of India. Built in AD 1143 as a mud fort, it was fortified between the 14th and 17th centuries and served as the principle Palace of the Bahmani Sultans and the Qutub Shahi dynasty. Our guide will bring alive the history of this Fort and how it shaped the future of Hyderabad and its people

  • Qutb Shahi Tombs

    Our next destination in the half day Hyderabad tour is the Qutub Shahi Tombs were erected in the memory of the old kings of Golconda. The arch, columns, dome minarets, and galleries look exquisite and are surrounded by gardens called Ibrahim Bagh. As per legend, these tombs were revered during the rule of the Qutub Shahi Kings and even criminals taking refuge here were pardoned.

Best Tour Experience - Solo Traveler

I had the best experience during this tour! I was extremely nervous being a solo female traveler but John ensured that I felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire guided tour. In addition, he is extremely knowledgeable and allowed me ample time to soak in the environment while not overwhelming me with dense information due to the history behind these locations. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR and cannot thank John enough for making this a tour I will never forget.

The visit to the fort and tomb was really nice. The climbing to the top of the fork gave us a nice view of the surrounding area.

Anand gave a fantastic tour of the fort and tombs. Anand was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly experienced. We were provided local insight into the current landscape of Hyderabad and its transformation over the past few decades. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hyderabad. The driver was also safe and was the best driving experience I’ve had so far.
