Overview

Hyderabad Biryani and street food is a Hyderabad street food walk in the evening. Over 2.5 hours we will savour the best street food, Hyderabad has to offer. We visit the best restaurants for the most famous local delicacies. On the menu is the legendary Hyderabad Biryani, mouth-watering Kababs , Hyderabadi dessert and Irani Chai with Osmania biscuits. This tour is organized by Five Senses Tours, a private limited company recognized by the Ministry of Tourism and a member of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO). The tour has been designed to support local livelihoods by way of employment of local guides, and supporting local businesses in line with the mission of the company to ensure travel dollars stay where they are spent.

    6 PM- Meet our guide on the food street Hyderabad food street walk commences at one of the most popular restaurants in Hyderabad for Biriyani, an aromatic variant of rice. The Hyderabadi biryani is sprinkled with kewda, rose water and saffron. The rice is layered with golden fried onions, chillies, mint leaves and fiery chicken. Sometime Biriyani is accompanied with a form of curd.

    Kebab is another hot favourite of the people of Hyderabad. Next in this Food street walk in Hyderabad, we will visit a place which is a open-fronted outlet serving Middle Eastern, Chinese and Indian grills. Hyderabad is also famous for its desserts. We will get an opportunity to try Double ka meetha, Khubai ka meetha or Rabdi during this food street walk in Hyderabad.

Adventurous way to dig into Hyderabad!!

This nighttime food tour was the perfect way to dive into the city the night we arrived. We had a great time wandering with our guide John. We had great food from places we wouldn't have been brave enough to try (let alone to find!) on our own. He was good natured and fun to hang out with, and great at taking photos of the night. It was very clear he wanted to fit the tour to our needs - and gave the impression much of it could be modified if necessary. We told him we wanted to be adventurous and we did just that! It was a great memory, and would totally recommend this tour to travellers looking to get an authentic local flavor!

Culinary tour of the old city of Hyderabad

We did the food walk tour in the Hyderabad old city with Mr Srinu. It was a wonderful gastronomic experience. All along the walking tour he shared plenty of historical facts and wonderful tit bits. At the end of it we wished the tour lasted a bit longer so that we could have sampled many more culinary delights the old city has to offer.

We had an amazing time on the food walk with John! This is the perfect tour for the adventurous traveler who wants to experience authentic local food in Hyderabad. We would’ve never found the restaurants that John took us to on our own - plus going with a local guide makes the experience infinitely more fun and informative! Be aware that you will eat a lot! Don’t eat lunch before your evening tour as you will not leave hungry. :)

Srinu was very knowledgeable about hyderabadi street food. He has connections with all vendors and allowed us to get a peek into how the food is actually created. He also does a great job recommending other places in the city to check out!

Second Tour as good as my first!

This was my 2nd time doing this as a private tour and the host was kind enough to customize it just for me with no repeat dishes! First we went to the spice market and he helped me order and then was SO MUCH delicious food! The host John was nice enough to ensure I wasn’t given portions that were too large, just like I requested. We also got to visit Charminar, it was a lovely tour filled with amazing food!
