Overview

La Malinche also known as Matlalcuéyetl, Matlalcueitl or Malintzin, is an inactive volcano of 4.461 meters, is the fifth highest mountain in Mexico is an excellent place for mountaineers who start in this sport. Have you ever climbed a mountain?, or would like a challenge of another level, come and join us to conquer the summit of the fifth highest mountain in Mexico with more than 4000 meters. THINGS YOU WILL NEED: Warm clothes, Medium / high mountain boots (not tennis), Small backpack to carry water, snacks and an additional jacket/sweater. Have a good breakfast before starting the trek. Bring at least 1 liter of water with you for trekking. Bring snacks and lunch to eat on the mountain. Don't forget 2 Jackets/sweater and a raincoat because is rainy season. Sunglasses. Sunscreen. Cap. Long sleeve t-shirt. Trekking pants / leggings (not jeans). Please carry a raincoat and gloves in case to be needed

Itinerary

During this activity, you will experience an exciting adventure at La Malinche National Park, exploring nature and challenging yourself on an unforgettable hike. We will begin by picking you up at your hotel and heading to the park. Upon arrival at the La Malintzin lodge, we will make a stop where you can prepare, use the restrooms, and stock up on water or snacks before starting the adventure. The hike will take us to the sandy area, where we will take a break to enjoy snacks and admire the spectacular views offered by this majestic mountain. Afterward, we will begin the descent back to the lodge, where you can use the facilities and enjoy a meal at the restaurant if you wish. We will finish the activity with the return to your hotel, satisfied after having experienced a unique adventure in one of Mexico's most iconic landscapes.

Nice hike for a city escape

We had a great time with Rodrigo. The hike was just the right amount of challenging. Nice views and good and comfortable transportation. Would recommend if you are in Puebla and want to get out in nature!

Great Experience. Super professional and friendly guide and a perfect mountain for a one day hike. They picked me up directly from the hotel, we did the hike and dropped me off at the hotel again. They take care of everything. Super concenient

Everything about this experience was fantastic, from the first contact till the D-day. The pick up service at the hotel was on time. The hike itself was hard but fantastic. I found it quite a challenging hike because of the altitude but David was very patient and encouraging Unfortunately I didn´t reached the top, my head was too painfull and we had too stop 200m from the top. Nevertheless, it remains one of most interesting hike in my life and my first time above 4000m. I warmly recommend

Everything about this experience from start to finish was fantastic. The pick up service was on time and very comfortable, and my guide, David, talked to me about the history of Puebla and the towns we passed through during the journey. The hike itself was fantastic, despite the bad weather. I found it quite a challenging bike because of the altitude but David was so patient, encouraging and understanding throughout. We took our time and it was totally worth it to the top. We spoke in a mix of Spanish and English, but David was clearly capable of leading this experience in either language. Susana was easily contactable before the trip, and answered all of my questions thoroughly and quickly. I would 100% recommend!
