We enjoyed all of the tour. But, my favorite part was learning about the history of the Battle of Puebla.

Another fantastic tour with Olivia our tour guide, she was attentive, knowledgeable and patient, she answered all of our questions and showed us the main places in the historic downtown Puebla, including the new Túneles, if you have a limited time, this tour is the best. Thank you Olivia so much for your dedication and our little gifts, we loved them!
Great introduction to Puebla and Cholula
Published on Nov, 2022
This review covers both Secrets of Puebla and the Barroco tour of Cholula and the Barroque Museun
Both were very interesting and informative- i really liked my guide Olive and had planned to book another tour to Atlixco but due to unforeseen events had to cancel. If I could do it again I would also book a tour to Huaquechula for Day of the Dead
i took the tours on days leading up to Day of the Dead and the extra sights and commentaries were very enjoyable and helpful as far as understanding local practices and beliefs
the secrets of puebla tour covered the tunnel, street art, cinco de mayo battle sites, candy alley,, artists’ alley, biblioteca palofaxiana, puebla cathedral, the stunning rosary chapel, zocalo etc - very informative and really a good introduction to the city, making you want to explore more.
the baroque tour included the Remedios church and pyramid of cholula, san francisco acatepec, santa maria tonantzilla, and the baroque museum - highly recommend- some of the most eye popping sights i have ever seen . the history of cholula is very rich abd moving. olive provided context and background info that was truly helpful
Olive spoke very clear English, she was helpful and a lot of fun to be with.
i recommend picking up a book on cinco de mayo and cholula history before the tours to add depth and context to the experience
some small suggestions if more into could have been provided about the artists and stories behind the street art that would have been helpful, also maybe an infographic about troop movements as the cinco de mayo battle unfolded and more autobiographical info about the characters on both sides. i would have also requested including the ex conventos santa rosa and santa monica in the puebla tour
all in all both tours were WELL worth it - highly recommend!
