Overview

Our tour starts from your hotel from where we will head to the historical center of Manaus, you'll be able to see the facades of the buildings with the marks of neo classic style that was the look of Manaus during the rubber boom. Let's walk through an area called "the old Manaus" which can give a clear understanding of the wealthiest era that our region held. We'll visit a museum that used to be the city hall and gives us a good understanding of the history of the capital of the Amazonas state. We'll visit the Amazonas Opera House and understand how so many materials and artists were brought from Europe to the jungle to build a place that remains a symbol of this beautiful era. We'll head to the market complex to see the three buildings know as the banana market, the fish market and the municipal market, each holding its unique beauty. We'll visit also the Rio Negro Palace that was intended to be a rubber baron's house but ended up becoming the government's office.

Manaus trip

Samuel the driver of our tour was very nice and had a good attitude. Marcello the guide had excellent communication skills and is very passionate about his country. His English was impeccable and his knowledge of local history and overall information he gave us were very helpful to understand the culture and life of the region. We all highly recommend him for your guided tours in Manaus.

Our Guide HEDGE was fabulous! He made the tour!! We enjoyed the market but unfortunately, the opera house was under minor renovations. Apparently they do this every January. It was still great to see! The rubber barons home was interesting to.

Arrived on a "pathetic" 5 hour late cruise. Joao (John) was waiting and showed us an nice tour. Behind the scenes and skipping the lines at crowded venues. As a native, John had an incredible knowledge of Manaus, and knew how to relay it to us in perfect English. HIghly Recommended
