We did a private speed boat trip to Magawish Island as well as snorkeling on the reef/s. The experience itself is incredible, Captain Momo and our guide, Hamada, were really cool and made the experience feel safe and very fun. The snorkeling itself is amazing, the reef is crystal clear and trhiving with marine life. The water is super warm and gentle, making swimming/snorkeling pleasant and a lot of fun. The boat itself seems like a fishing/speedboat so it is not really fancy, but it is safe and gets the job done. Magawish Island is quite overhyped, though I suppose for photos it looks great but its quite boring to be honest and very under developed aside from the bar in the centre (which is VERY expensive). I cannot recommend Go Shalabi enough though in respect of the ease of collection and dropping off at hotel, the responsiveness and great communication skills of Ivana once you make a booking as well as the knowledge and customer skills of the Captain and the guide. The price of a private charter, although not cheap, is still reasonable and in all honesty, SO worth it as the Captain literally asks you where you want to go and how long you want to stay, you can even visit 5 reefs if you want, or visit one reef and go home - there is no pressure to go anywhere specific or to rush through the experience. 10/10

the tour was great, our guide seif and the driver abdu (I hope I remember the right name) were very friendly. we felt very safe. we went with two little kids (1 and 3) and they were great with the kids. we saw a few dolphins and the snorkeling was impressive. our guide also took photos and clips, so we will always remember the trip. an ukrain girl picked us up at the hotel und brought us back. she was also so nice, especially with our kids. we also saw two islands, there it looks like in the caribeean. white sand and cristall blue water. alltogether we felt very comfortable und we will come back one day. so we can totally recommend this tour.

We booked a private speedboat trip and couldn't have been happier with the entire day. We visited some incredible snorkelling spots and had a visit to Magawish island which was beautiful- we were advised it was a bit quieter than the popular Orange Bay. Our Captain Ahmed and guide Gimi really made our trip though. The boat was so much fun they were friendly, chatty and made sure we were well fed and watered throughout the trip. Also Gimi's photos and videos were brilliant! They were in constant communication with other boats and worked so hard ro help us find dolphins which we eventually did! I also noticed once we spotted dolphins they were quick to signal surrounding boats to slow down, they would also slow down to pick up any litter, plastic etc they spotted in the sea which I was impressed by. Overall I couldn't recommend this trip more and would love to do it again should we revisit Hurghada!

I fully recommend using Go Shalibi for your snorkeling trip, our Captain for the day was Mahmoud who showed his skills and experience in difficult windy conditions. We were offered the opportunity to reschedule but as we are both strong swimmers and have experience snorkeling in rough seas so decided to go for it. We were taken to a small reef and then guided around it, Mahmoud accompanied us in the water and highlighted different species that may have been otherwise missed. Due to the windy conditions and rough seas it was advised we rested up on Magawish Island which just added to the fantastic experience as the journey from the reef to the island was thrilling as the waves crashed into our faces, we did not feel unsafe at any point though and we laughed it off, it felt as though someone was constantly throwing buckets of water at us. After a good hour relaxing in the Sun, and drying off, we went to another spot on the way back but the wind had increased and sea had become rougher so snorkeling was more challenging and the fish were staying deeper but this did not spoil the day. We will definitely be using Go Shalibi again and hope for calmer waters. FYI - book direct rather than through GYG, you will be better informed of trip times, hotel pick up and told true cost including taxes etc.

We had a fantastic experience even in challenging weather conditions. Our speedboat captain was Mahmoud and he took us to a lovely reef teeming with loads of different species and we had fun snorkelling before visiting Makidi island to dry off in the sunshine. He made our day very special and felt so comfortable with him, like we'd known him for years. He kept our post snorkeling hunger pangs at bay with a constant supply of fresh, homegrown fruit throughout our trip. After relaxing there we were off for more thrills at sea, watching the beautiful beaches and sites of Hurghada go by before stopping at another reef for more snorkeling. We booked via Get Your Guide who I cannot recommend as they did not give us any information other than a pick up time very late the night before. They failed to advise of port fees payable on arrival and did not liaise properly with us at all. We had the same with another trip, they take a fixing fee and do nothing but book you in with an operator which they do not divulge until a few hours before your trip. I would strongly suggest booking direct with Go Shalibi, with the lovely Ivanna, they are highly professional and once we were in contact with Go Shalibi, we got information via WhatsApp, rather than just "Don't worry you will be contacted by the operator soon" from GYG. I cant wait to go back in October, we will be using Go Shalibi, and looking forward to seeing Mahmoud again, maybe get to see dolphins (they were absent on our trip, weather conditions, nature etc cannot be guaranteed but there is always a good chance of seeing them). It was touch and go whether we could go on our scheduled trip due to unusually high winds and quite rough seas. Go Shalibi operate with very high safety standards and we only went out once we established it was safe out at sea and that my husband and I are experienced snorkellers and strong swimmers. Can thoroughly recommend Go Shalibi and the highly experienced Mahmoud, all Shalibi's boats are modern, safe and comfortable and deliver unforgettable experiences.
