Overview

Our Isla Tortuga boat tour is a full day all-Inclusive activity. Spend a wonderful day at the beautiful white sand beach of Isla Tortuga. Enjoy a tropical beach lunch, chill in a hammock on the beach, engage in a volleyball game or put on a mask and explore the coral reefs and its colorful fish. As a special treat, we also take you past another island that is inhabited by spider monkeys. When they come down to the shore, you can get a very close up encounter with them. This tour, which is all day from 9am to 3:30 pm, offers a lot in one package.

Our Isla Tortuga tour...

Our Isla Tortuga tour with Bahía Rica was unforgettable! The captain, fluent in English and Spanish, was amazing—kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. The atmosphere on the boat was lively, and the views, from the Gulf of Nicoya to the South Pacific, were breathtaking. Snorkeling was a highlight—the water was calm and warm, and the crystal-clear gear let us see vibrant marine life effortlessly. We even spotted spider monkeys, and the captain stopped to share interesting facts and give us time for photos. An unexpected and life-changing moment happened when I asked if I could try learning to swim at a cove near the island. The captain not only encouraged me but jumped in to teach me himself! He patiently guided me through floating, kicking, and basic strokes, and with cheers from the other passengers (including a certified scuba diver who joined in), I swam to the beach and back—a surreal and empowering experience. Lunch on the island was another highlight. Served in a cozy shack, it included grilled vegetables, chicken or fish fillet, rice, and the most decadent brownie. The vegetarian option with sauces was equally delicious. After lunch, we swam, relaxed, and soaked in the serene beauty of Isla Tortuga. The Bahía Rica team’s kindness and hospitality made the entire experience exceptional—this was the perfect ending to our Costa Rica adventure!

Overall just a great experience from start to finish. The directions getting there couldn’t have been clearer, the staff was incredibly kind, professional; and extremely helpful. We had Chato as our guide and he explained so much about the different species, the surrounding areas, the history. We were so lucky to see so many of the spider monkeys! They seemed to be just as curious of us as we were of them so they sat and hung out and watched us! The lunch that was prepared was amazing!!! We saw a lot of wild boar on the island which was a lot of fun to see. We didn’t have the best weather but it didn’t stop us from having a great day. I highly recommend the trip!

The whole day was a great experience. Our guide did a great job showing us the area and took us to all the best spots to find as many fish and starfish as possible while snorkeling. Tortuga Island was beautiful and the meal that was prepared for us on the beach was fantastic.

Amazing Snorkeling Experience

This was an amazing snorkeling/boat tour. Our tour guide brought the sea to us, he showed us some spectacular sea creatures, he is an awesome diver, this is the best snorkeling experience ever. The staff was very friendly, kind, patient and helpful. They also offer lunch on the tour, our chef Diana was the best and prepared a delicious meal! So happy we went on this tour, we will definitely be back in the future.
