Overview

Firefly Park Resort Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Is the only place in this region where you can witness the sight of SOME of fireflies flashing in synchrony, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. It is one of the must visit place of interest (POI) in Malaysia. You will be taken on a boat ride along the Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the “Berembang” trees along the riverbank. Here, up to thousands of fireflies may group together on a tree, beginning their display about one hour after sunset. A really bright display lasts for about two to three hours, continuing at lower levels until dawn.

Bukit Melawati

Upon arrival you'll be visiting to Bukit Melawati where Fort Altingsburg is located. The hilltop is capped by a lighthouse surrounded by tall beautiful shady trees which are a haven for local birds, silvered leaf monkeys and long tail macaques.You’ll head to a nearby fishing village for a typical seafood dinner before making your way to Kampung Kuantan.

Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park

Upon arrival you'll be visiting to Bukit Melawati where Fort Altingsburg is located. The hilltop is capped by a lighthouse surrounded by tall beautiful shady trees which are a haven for local birds, silvered leaf monkeys and long tail macaques.You’ll head to a nearby fishing village for a typical seafood dinner before making your way to Kampung Kuantan. Around 6:30pm you'll visit to Malay Village which is Kampung Kuanatan, where they will board a boat. Life jackets are provided and the boatman would row the boat along the river. As mentioned earlier, here millions of fireflies present us with a dazzling display of lights flickering in synchronous that resemble twinkling electric lights on a Christmas tree. Definitely you'll will be bedazzled and the sight will take your breath away!

Really exciting tour with an amazing guide Ayyanar

Amazing private tour with eagle feeding, firefly watching and blue tears watching! Was very happy to have a friendly and interesting guide Ayyanar, as the way from KL is quite long. He answered all of the questions and was happy to tell me more about Malaysia. Really exciting tour through the nature!

We were so impressed with our first tour that we booked another tour for the very next day. Sathesh, once again, had a wealth of knowledge and we all shared so many laughs exchanging stories. The monkey experience will be cherished for the rest of our lives. Sathesh seems to be a bit of a “foodie” as he knew exactly what traditional seafood dishes we should try. We then experienced the beautiful fireflies which was mesmerizing. We are definitely returning to explore more of Malaysia and will be hunting Sathesh down when we arrive for further tours. They are just so well run and the communication and ease of booking truly made it a wonderful experience.
