Discover the magical wonderland of Lake Myvatn and Godafoss Waterfall with an experienced local tour guide. We set off from Akureryi stopping at Godafoss waterfall and then onto the famous Lake Myvatn. The tour stops at all the top attractions of Lake Myvatn including Grjotagja cave and rift, Dimmurborgir Lava formations, pseudocraters, Hverir mud pots and natural steam vents/fumeroles and the Myvatn Nature Baths. First of all Norbert was a great guide, provided us with microspikes so we could walk on icy patches and in general was very knowledgeable and funny. The trip was totally worth it as we visited amazing locations in complete safety.

An excellent tour, very interesting and lots of highlights including the mud pools, steam vents and seeing the Godafoss waterfall at dusk with very few people around. The Myvatn natural pool experience rounded off a great day. Norbert and Armann were super hosts and know Northern Iceland inside out, so their tours are highly recommended.

Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Akureyri. Tour guide was brilliant - his knowledge and sense of humour really made the trip. Stunning places on the tour from Godafoss waterfall to all the volcanic stops - lava tubes, tectonic plates, etc. Iceland is a really beautiful country and you get to see so much of this on the tour.
