The service was amazing ! Raul was punctual when he came to pick us up at our hotel entrance and is a savvy driver -especially through the traffic to Cancun.
The crew on the caravan (Diamond Bright 2) was amazing and so attentive. They provided nonstop drinks, always checked on everyone to see if they wanted anything, and took photo ops. Christian, the photographer, was great at posing us and helping us relax- the photos came out great! He printed them out so we could decide what we wanted to keep. I brought cash but card works as well.
Our coordinator spoke English, Spanish, French and was great at explaining anything further if you asked for any clarification. The specific meet up times were repeated multiple times, especially when leaving the boat to make sure everyone was aware.
It was my first time snorkeling, they recommended only confident swimmers should go, and provided a quick safety lesson along with lifejackets, flippers, and goggles. Snorkeling was a great experience - we saw so many schools of fish and the underwater statues (the hands in a circle specifically). Our guide even swam down to show us a conch he noticed on the ocean floor. After snorkeling, they took us to another area to have a quick swim.
Isla de Mujeres was a nice break to walk around- golfcarts were an option to see the island. I decided to walk around and found a taco place (Tacos de Humo- LARGE portions despite it being only 3 Tacos each plate ) and bought an iced espresso (Jacilito- the espresso was delicious)
On the way back, the crew put on a show and dance with funny costumes and passed around tequila shots to liven us up. Music for the day ranged from house remixes of pop songs, reggaton, and popular classics (YMCA, sweet Caroline, etc).
The breakfast included light snacks- coffee and cookies. The drinks on board ranged from beer, cocktails (tequila sunrise, margritas, pina colada, shots of tequila etc), virgin drinks, and water (ice was always available throughout the day!). The buffet was at Zaza Beach Club - the buffet spot was at the back and had a few vegetarian options, cocktails, horchata (so good !!), and the jamaica/hibiscus drink. My favorite option was the ceviche. The buffet staff was very friendly! We had access to the beach and pool, just not full access for the gazebos and specific seats which was fine for our short stop.
Near the end, there was an argument between a small group and the staff because of damage to a speaker; the crew dealt with the situation the best they could, maintained their professionalism, and didn't let it affect the experience for the rest of group on the caravan.
I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone, it's the highlight of my trip in Mexico!!
P.s. bring sunscreen and reapply- the sun is strong. They have seating area in the shade if you get burned (like I did).
