    Enjoy a comprehensive tour to all six Monasteries and have the chance to visit the interior of one or two of them. Your tour guide will be with you to provide all the information you need about the area and make you feel comfortable in your own language.At the end you will enjoy the Majestic Sunset from the best viewpoint of the area.

  • Byzantine Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary

    Visit the oldest monument of the area situated in the old city of Kalabaka. In the walls of this church for hundreds of years, marbles of an ancient temple were hidden. The marbles belonged to the temple of God Apollo. Nowadays that the plaster which covered them is removed you will be able to see God’s face represented as the Sun.

Good for Morning and Afternoon Tours

There was some duplication from the morning tour but all in all , it was a good day. We covered substantial ground. Tip - If you plan to visit all monasteries, you can do a combination of this two tours and then on your own. In December, it should cost about $20 to visit these monateries.

The tour guide was quite informative and had really good story telling skills ehich made the tour interesting ( I dont recall his name but he is from Canada) ! Loved the sunset from the rocks. Visited during the winter, it was definitely worth it since there weren't a lot of people.

I loved how the guide built up the suspense as we ascended into the mountains. She had a personal connection to St Stephens monetary which made it particularly special.

We have booked a sunset tour around Meteora quite last minute. Communication was good and clear. Everything went on time. Our tour guide Maria was excellent! She made it super interesting and interactive. We were surprised how competent, confident and knowledgeable she was! A great way to spend the first afternoon and evening in Meteora. Nancy was amazing - her knowledge and stories were really mesmerising, as were the views. We loved this trip. Highly recommend
