Authentic camel safari and the Trotters team worked hard to make sure we had a special time. We did the 1-day overnight safari and it coincided with New Year’s Eve - for a modest supplement, they created a fantastic evening with a massive bonfire, Rajhastani music and dancing, and a tasty meal. Also a special cake and fireworks! Very worthwhile! The only slight negative was we had to be quite firm to make sure we got our allotted time on the camels. As we were there at such a busy time, there seemed to be a bit of behind-the-scenes juggling going on. That said, we were happy in the end with the time we got - around 2hrs in the morning, 1hr in the afternoon on day 1 and 1hr on day 2 - and we’d have struggled to manage much more anyway! Camel-riding is pretty uncomfortable! The scenery is gorgeous though and the whole thing totally worthwhile. Plus the camels are cared for and seem to be in good condition.
