Explore two charming districts, Lesser Town and Hradcany, which contain most of Prague’s governmental palaces and embassies. Along this unique route you’ll see world famous sites including Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery and Charles Bridge. We’ll also take you to the well hidden “New World” neighborhood, the revolutionary John Lennon Wall, and the city’s top panorama viewpoints.

We are located in Mala Strana historical district of Prague. Headed from Old Town, you need to cross over Charles Bridge to the Prague Castle side. Headed from tram stop "Malostranske namesti", it’s 5 minutes walk through Mostecka Street. The address is Mostecka 4.

Itinerary

  • Lesser Town

    ON THIS TOUR: As part of a small group, you get up hill by a tram, hear the Czech history intro to get a context, then you can enjoy a "welcome" special local monastery beer (or other drink). We will make stops along the way and show you the more hidden parts away from souvenirs and crowds, as well as the high-profile sights such as Charles Bridge, Prague Castle or John Lennon Wall. In 2/3 of the tour, you will sit around table and taste samples of the traditional Czech cuisine. The idea for this concept was: "Let’s say you only have 1 day to spend in Prague, what would be the best possible activity to do, to learn about the city history, today’s life and culture?" We also provide you with our guidebook - where we like to eat and drink, what are our favorite parts of Prague.

    After we exit tram, we start walking through "The Castle District" - equally beautiful and much less chaotic compared to Prague’s Old Town.

    12the century founded monastery with beautiful old library, but also St. Norbert Brewery located here. It’s where we sit and have a quick "welcome" drink.

    Enjoy the "Bellavista" with a beautiful panorama view of the main historical Prague. We tell you about iconic Zizkov and Petrin towers, and more.

    This church complex is a perfect stop to talk the complicated relationship between organized religion and today’s Czech Republic.

    In our opinion, this is the most amazing neighborhood in Prague. Charming, still surprisingly unknown and well hidden. One of the highlights!

    We stop outside the main gate, to tell you about the largest medieval castle complex in the world. Sometimes the timing is just right and we can even watch the main change of the guards (at noon)

    Another iconic view where we can see for example the famous Dancing House - 90’s modern art building inspired by classic Hollywood musicals.

    Back on the "Royal Path", we walk to the Jansky Vrsek area and go enjoy the local food tasting part - we always book a table at St. Martin.

    We explain the significance of this love and peace symbolizing art-covered wall. Let’s get more into the cold war time anti-Soviet resistance.

Great experience

A great experience in Prague after a full day of sitting in a workshop. The tour was engaging and uplifting, which was greatly appreciated by the group. The hidden gems provided a fresh perspective on the city and added a local touch. The food was delicious, and there was an interesting story behind the selection. Everything was professional, and we had a fantastic evening—much better than simply sitting in a restaurant for 3 hours. I highly recommend it!"

Ondra is an amazing guide! He gave our group a very descriptive history and itinerary of every place we saw and/or passed by. All the places we stopped to eat/drink, great food and drinks! He also gave us a guide of reccomended places to go to for food and drinks! I highly recommend doing this tour! It's perfect, no big group(s) and easy moderately paced tour!

Incredible learning experience in out of the way neighborhoods. We were able to enjoy local beers and yummy traditional Czech food along the way. Andrew was an exceptional Czech guide who speaks perfect English and we enjoyed visiting with him about his Czech upbringing and the history of the Czech Republic. It was a small group so it was very personal and interesting. We highly recommend it!!

Andrew was a fabulous tour guide! He taught us so much about Czech history and the culture. He took us into neighborhoods around Prague Castle that we would have never visited and there were no crowds. We ate like kings and queens and enjoyed Czech beer along the way. It was a small group so we were able to ask many questions and get clear answers in English. We would highly recommend this tour!

We did the castle side history tour with beer and food and really enjoyed it! The small group made things super easy and Ondra was a fantastic host. He made the information easy to understand and had a lot of knowledge. It was awesome to break up the info with beer and a delicious meal too. Highly recommend this tour.
