Overview

Our adventure begins when we pick you up at your hotel in our comfortable passenger van. (Please note pick up will be ONLY in La Fortuna area hotels;. The pick up time depends on the Hotel location). Then we travel to our private farm located next to the Arenal Volcano and National Park where you will have wonderful views of the biodiversity of the area. Here you will be introduced to our professional bi-lingüal guide who will give you all the information you will need to begin your adventure. You will start out in open plans where you can warm up with your quad. Our farm is located between the Arenal Volcano and Arenal Lake. You will enjoy during 2 hours driving through the rain forest and mountains, you can have a look on the impact craters of the last eruption in 1968, next, you will go to the shallow water rive to the volcanic mud for a facial mask and finally have a great view to the Arenal Lake.

    Imagine on ATV ride right next to the Arenal Volcano, where you can find volcano history, crazy trails and a lot of excitement! The tour starts with a brief explanation in a practice circuit where you can train how to drive safety in our modern and brand new ATV’s. Once you are ready, you will start in open planes to warm up for the trip. Our 100% off road and muddy trails are made to create adventure meanwhile you enjoy the amazing panoramic views and will create on you and extraordinary experience. On the journey you will find the old impact craters of the Arenal Volcano last eruption in 1968, also you will discover a river with volcanic mud, right there our guide will explain you about the benefits of this natural exfoliant, after that we will go through a small viewpoint to see the beautiful Arenal Lake, also in the farm we have traditional crops of the area, here you will receive a little explanation about La Fortuna´s agriculture. This is a 2 hours tour full of adrenaline in front of the astonishing Arenal Volcano from a different perspective and an experience you will never forget.

Adventurous ATV ride with an amazing view of the Arenal Valcano

We did the evening ATV tour around the Arenal Volcano. The pickup and drop was well coordinated. Once you reach the locations you have to sign a waiver. Then you are asked to pick your helmets. I recommend wearing a skull mask or a bandana as they don’t provide them and these helmets are used my many. I wore my hat and then the helmet on top of it and I was just fine. I do have power glasses too so no issues at all. Your shoes and pants/legs WILL get dirty with all the mud splashing (which is super fun) so wear accordingly. There was not much engine heat as I saw many wear shorts for the atv ride. Our guide was Andres and he was clear in his communication and was helpful to the riders whenever we got stuck. I even jammed my ATV once and he helped me reset it. The ATV were in good condition and our group didn’t complain of any problems with the ATV. We were a group of 7 bikes. Highly recommended as it takes you to the best views through the jungle around the volcano. This can definitely be done for a first timer too. It’s not a difficult terrain. They even make stops in the jungle to show you animals and even 2-3 photo stops with the best views of the valcano.

I had a blast! Never ridden on an ATV by myself and got to have an amazing experience. After I got the hang of it felt comfortable riding around in rough terrain. Great guide. Saw monkeys and felt challenged!!

Our guide Andres was so amazing! Andres was very knowledgeable about the area and made sure the experienced riders had fun, and the beginners felt safe! We learned about the area, saw Spider Monkey's, and did a volcanic lava mud mask. Highly recommend!
