*Entrance to Doune and Blackness Castles included in tour price. Visit three castles and a well-preserved village on this adventure through the sights and stories of Outlander. This is because visiting the locations lets you step back in time and wander through unchanged, ancient villages. It gives you the chance to gaze up in awe at the mighty walls of a 600-year-old castle. And it allows you to venture through the real battlefields of the Jacobite uprising. On this tour, your guide takes you through a fantastic array of Outlander sights while telling you all about the history that inspired the famous show. So, take this time-travelling adventure and discover that the real locations and history are as exciting as the show itself.

Midhope Castle – We reserve tickets for you. If you want to visit this attraction, please purchase your ticket whilst on tour.
Minimum age is 5 years
Luggage Allowance: You're restricted to 14kg (31lbs) of luggage per person on our tours. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) plus a small bag for onboard personal items.
In order to retain the integrity of the tour and try to ensure that all our customers have the best possible experience, we do cap bookings from any one party to 8 passengers.
*Please note that during your free time in Culross, Culross Palace and Gardens are closed during winter until 15th March 2025. You will still be able to view the herb garden externally or from the path above if weather and conditions allow. We apologise for the inconvenience.
*Blackness Castle closure on 18th March, instead you’ll have more time to visit Linlithgow Palace.

Best option for taking a day trip

Graeme from Glasgow took us on a 1 day Outlander Tour and it was even better than we could have ever anticipated. Throughout our journey he gave us history of the highlands and how it all related to the Series. We were able to see a lot of things we would not have found on our own with the added benefits of not having to transport ourselves around, so we were able to sit back and enjoy the journey. We were a smaller group with only a few other passengers and it felt more like friends on an adventure than a guide and tour. Graeme kept us engaged telling good jokes, fun anecdotes, and good Scottish tunes in the drive. He was interested in our stories and ensuring we got the most out of our time together offering suggestions of things to do and places to go while in Scotland or in our further destinations. Would 100% recommend this tour/touring company to anyone and will be booking with them again in the future.

Alistair was an amazing guide. Loved hearing all the history and how it ties in with outlander! Bummer midhope is closed in the winter. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to see it
