It was a great family tour with our teen aged boys and one of my favorite memories of our trip. Alex our guide was super nice and informative. The scooters were a ton of fun and the monuments we went to see were great! It would have taken a long time to walk around to. We went to the Hotel des Invalides, the Champs d'Eglysse, the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower amongst other sites. Here are a couple take aways to help plan your tour...
None of us had ever rode a Segway before. It took a little practice that tour guide Alex gave us a great tutorial. I would consider myself semi non-athletic but feel comfortable riding a bike. I think if you have enough balance to do that, you would be fine on these.
We had done 15,000 steps during the morning and afternoon before our night time tour. Riding these scooters are basically like standing in place for two hours. That in itself isn't bad, but I wouldn't have planned as much ahead of our tour if we ever go back to do it again because our legs were smoked.
The tour was rain or shine. Obviously we couldn't control the weather and we would have had the option to cancel if we wanted to, but Alex our guide gave us rain ponchos and we did the tour anyway. It was raining pretty good during a couple points.
Lastly, the tour starting location is kind of in a residential neighborhood. We had our Uber driver drop us at the address listed and thought we screwed up. There isn't a sign or anything that says 'Segway Tours'. That might be my only critique that Alex could put a sign in his window. The tour was great and made me want to buy a Segway!!
