Temple of Poseidon

Cape Sounion is noted for its Temple of Poseidon, one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens. Its remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea.

Lake Vouliagmeni is a small brackish-water lake fed by underground currents seeping through the mass of Mount Hymettus located to the south of Vouliagmeni.

Great travel day coming off our cruise!

Michael was a fantastic host and driver. He spoke great English, arrived on time with a clean and well stocked car (water, phone chargers, candy, sanitizer...) Very kind and took us everywhere we asked and gave great tourists advice, we booked again with him for our ride to the airport. Highly recommend!

Very friendly, reliable service, extremely lovely car (we are five and needed a larger vehicle) which our teenagers particularly loved. Despite bad traffic we made it to see the sunset over the temple which was amazing. Would definitely recommend

Our driver, John was great! He picked us up at the airport when we first arrived in Athens. He suggested for our return trip, since we were going to spend the night at a hotel near the airport, to book the half day trip to Cape Sounion. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Cape Sounion with some stops along the way. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He made our last day in Greece very enjoyable. We ended the excursion at a taverna and he even called ahead to make sure that we would be able to get a table since it was Saturday afternoon. After this he dropped us off at our hotel near the airport.
