After that visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came specially from Istanbul and built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years.

Incredible day out in Cairo

Another awesome day out with Maryam. We did this tour on our second day in Egypt after seeing the pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara and I would highly recommend. The Mosque was beautiful and the museum had way more incredible artefacts in it than I had realised. Maryam has a deep knowledge of the ancient Egyptians and was able to explain everything in the museum clearly and articulately.

The mosque was spectacular and Maryam our guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve always dreamed of seeing the Egyptian Museum and it was everything that I expected it to be. It was a dream come true, we saw king tuts mummy mask and thousands of ancient Egyptian artefacts, Maryam guided us through explaining each section of the museum. 5 star experience
