We did the Chinatown tour together with Khun Noom and all in all it was a great experience. We were picked up at the MRT station and were given a description of the tour. We couldn't do the first stop (Kao Moo Krob) as the shop was already out of food but instead we got mango with sticky rice at the end of the tour. It was nice that they organised an alternative, however, as we live in Thailand we were looking for some unique food from Chinatown (and mango with sticky rice was not one of them).
Noom was really nice, his English was good and he explained a lot about Chinatown, the history, the food and the people living here. As I am Vegetarian, he really made a lot of effort to find some alternatives for me as another stop (Hoi Todd) wasn't possible as the food is cooked in pork fat and also the dim sum was not vegetarian as they put pork in every dim sum. Instead of that, he ordered a set menu for me at the Canton House. Unfortunately, it was again very traditional Thai food and no Chinese food but I really appreciated his efforts and for someone travelling to Bangkok just for a short holiday it is for sure a good alternative. Also another stop (Guay Jab) was not suitable for me as a Vegetarian, however, the rest of the group enjoyed it a lot. All in all, it was a lot of food and we were able to pack the leftovers from the Canton House and take it home with us. At the end of the tour, he organised 2 tuk-tuks for us (as our group of 4 was heading in different directions) which were also included in the price, together with all the food and drinks. He also took many pictures of our group and they were sent to us 1 day later per email.
All in all, I can fully recommend the Chinatown tour and Quality Thai Guide in general and the price is fair as it is a private tour (no other group joins this tour), you get a lot of food and drinks and transportation is included as well.
