In the Middle Ages Kutna Hora was the second most important town in the Bohemian kingdom after Prague, due to its huge resources of silver. This private tour comprises St.Barbara church, an impressive example of 14th-century gothic architecture, the Royal Mint, where the production of the world-famous Prague’s Grossus took place, and the Bone Church, whose interior is made out of human bones! Visit these landmarks with our private guide and feel the atmosphere of the medieval mine, all of which is part of Unesco World Heritage site. Really enjoyed seeing both of the Cathedrals and the ossuary at Kutná Hora. Our guide Peter was very personable and knowledgeable about the history of the city and its landmarks.

Pete Kotlar is the guide that you want for this tour! He is a fascinating guy and he went out of his way to make sure that we learned as much as we could about the places he took us to. At the end of the tour, he even gave us a list that he had put together of his favorite restaurants, places to shop, etc. I felt that he really went above and beyond by doing that (and by how he treated us during the entire trip)! He made sure that we were walking at the pace that we needed to be walking at and he gave us plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions. He truly was fantastic! As for the tour itself, it was great. At first, I was hesitant about booking this tour because I didn’t think that I would have enough time to visit The Church of the Bones, but Petr made sure that I had all the time in there that I needed so I was really glad that I did book this tour. The town we visited was very neat with its silver mining history and the cathedrals were beautiful. I definitely recommend booking this tour and, if you do, please make sure to ask to have Petr as your guide!
