This 5-hour tour around Koh Samui will give you the chance to see the Lady Monk temple, the famous Big Buddha temple, enjoy stunning views at the Chaweng viewpoint, the Grandmother & Grandfather rocks (Hin tai & Hin yai), explore coconut plantations, see the Mummified Monk or go swimming at some of the waterfalls. Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

The Big Buddha Temple sits on a small rocky island off Koh Samui’s northeastern corner. Known locally as Wat Phra Yai, its golden, 12-metre-tall seated Buddha statue is one of the island’s most popular attractions. Set on Koh Faan, the temple is reached by a causeway that connects it to the main island. The Big Buddha, which can be seen at a distance of several kilometres, is often the first landmark people see when arriving in Koh Samui by air.

We had a great day out in Koh Samui. Given this was a private tour we had the option to see places that were of interest to us. Our tour guide was very helpful. The half day tour covers all the important spots that one can visit in Koh Samui. I would recommend taking the half day tour only on first day and then book a full day tour on the next. the benefit to this is that within the first half day tour you can acclimatize yourself to the weather condition and the customs o general behaviour in public and understand the traffic rules from the locals. On the following day just pick up a rental scooter and visit more nooks and corners of the island. The best part is the half day tour also takes you to the Na Muang waterfall for a dip in the pool and chill for sometime.
