Experience Present Day Oaxaca City while Learning About the History and Culture

What an experience! We were here during the week of Dia de los Muertos and got to experience the city on full display through this tour. We went through many parts of the city including markets where we got to try local chocolate, several moles that you can purchase vacuum sealed to take home, and even some crickets! (This was totally optional) A tip for anyone booking this, make sure to bring cash as many of the vendors are small and don’t have the ability to accept cards. We continued our tour through the streets learning about history and getting to experience local art murals, visit an art collective, and spend some time in the local cathedrals. We ended our tour walking through a market with various sundries produced by local artisans and walking through an amazing park filled with various street food carts to sample. Highly recommend!!

It was great introduction to the Oaxaca! Veronica is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history and culture of Oaxaca, so it gets viral. We enjoyed the walk, her stories, legends, and details about the architecture of beautiful temples we visited. She brought us to her favorite place in mercado and suggested very tasty food. She also helped us to buy souvenirs and gave "a workshop" on mezcals. We are very grateful and wishing her the best of luck.
