The leakage of radiation from an explosion equates to an explosion of 500 atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. And the distribution of reactive material was so large-scale that radioactive rain fell throughout Europe, and even in Ireland. According to various sources, from 600 to 800 thousand people took part in the aftermath from all over the USSR.
