Overview

WE TOUR NELSON'S DOCKYARD, SHIRLEYS HEIGHTS & SNORKEL This is a guided tour by a local spearfisherman. Taking in all the sights and sounds of the island on land and in the sea, with a very high chance of snorkeling with sea turtles, and a definite chance of seeing two shipwrecks! The snorkel is in mostly shallow water, off of a beach. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR. Your snorkel guide enjoys spearfishing and can show you things while snorkeling you never even knew were below you! This is a private tour, meaning you will be the only travelers. It is roughly 4 hours long. There is cold water in the vehicle. Lunch is not provided on the tour. You will also have videos of you snorkeling around the shipwrecks and turtles emailed to you after the tour. If you don't wish to snorkel or if not all travelers would like to participate in the snorkel that is okay as well. Admission to national parks not included, it is 15$USD for two tickets, meaning you only pay one time.

Pickup details

We can pick you up wherever you may be on the island. Cruise ship travelers will meet right in front of Cheers restaurant which is a very short walk after you exit the ship. I will be waiting wearing a bright yellow shirt and blue shorts, I have a large beard ... and bald head and I am pretty hard to miss. I contact all guests a day or two before your tour to get room numbers and give additional pickup information. Itinerary

WE TOUR Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley's Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. If you are a decent swimmer we will also check out The Pillars Of Hercules. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson's Dockyard and one for Shirley's Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks! Tour Duration time is approximate, and depends on where you are staying and how far drive time is.

Spectacular Views and Snorkleing Fun

We were so pleased with this tour. The guide picked us up on time and greeted us warmly. He gave us a guided tour as he drove us to The Nelson'sDockyard pointing out things along the way. Once we got to the dockyard he offered to take our photo at a popular wedding spot! He then left us for about 30 minutes to explore! We then headed to Shirley's View Point where we saw the most spectacular view of Antigua. After this he took us snorkeling and swam with us pointing out turtles and taking underwater photos of us and for us. We ended up tipping him on top of the price because the tour was that good !

Johnny was great! He was knowledgeable and friendly, and it was just the kind of tour we were hoping for. Well, we would have enjoyed better weather and better visibility while snorkeling, but that's just Mother Nature doing her thing. Still, we managed to have a good tour of the island and a great day overall!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Antigua. Johnny was such a great guide and made us feel so comfortable. This tour is such a great combination of seeing land sites and snorkeling! Seeing a turtle while snorkeling was amazing!

Johnny was amazing!!! Great knowledge of the island. Great tour. Didn’t know how to swim and Johnny made it happen with the life vest. Felt like a pro by the end. Me and my fiancé loved it! He also took great videos! Thanks Johnny!
