Taishi Town, located a short distance from the city of Osaka, is home to historic sites and residents known for their kindness and nurturing nature. Unlike takoyaki bought and eaten at the store, you can learn how the base batter is made and that ingredients other than octopus can be used as well. Itinerary

You can learn the art of making authentic takoyaki from the locals in Osaka. In fact, there's a specific technique required for mixing the flour and water at the right ratio, cooking it into a round shape, and achieving a texture that's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Through this experience, you will have the opportunity to deepen your interaction with the people of Taishi Town, with whom there are few chances to mingle. Through the takoyaki experience, Taishi Town may become your second hometown.

Fun cooking class with friendly neighborhood locals

Kind and friendly local community teaching Takoyaki cooking in beautiful traditionally styled home in suburbs of Osaka. Brought my kids for the experience. They had a good time interacting with Sensei. a local friend was asked to come in to help interpret conversation Japanese/English. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood experience outside of main hub of Osaka.
