I spent three weeks in Kenya/Tanzania and I will say, without doubt, that this trip was the most meaningful experience of my entire trip. It changed the way I think about the world and has made me so grateful for what I have. Our guide Rallie is a soft spoken, kind man who grew up in Kibera and knows the place and people very well. Everyone there loves him! He showed us inside select people's homes, the water supply, local businesses, the school, the market, how people live and some of their many challenges. The locals are welcoming and grateful that you are visiting, because they know that we donate and help them. When I returned to Canada, Rallie sent me pictures of the food, sanitary pads, school books, supplies he had bought with my donation, the happy recipients and even the receipts! What an education! Something that you cannot learn in any book. This experience will be part of me for as long as I live. Thank you Rallie.

The tour of Kibera was truly life-changing, and our incredible guide made it an unforgettable experience. From the moment we began, the guide was welcoming, knowledgeable, and deeply connected to the community, which made the tour both impactful and meaningful. Walking through the streets with the guide, I gained insights into the resilience, creativity, and strength of the people who call Kibera home. They shared personal stories and answered every question with care and thoughtfulness, helping me understand the challenges faced by the community as well as the inspiring efforts to overcome them. Visiting schools, community initiatives, and small businesses alongside the guide was humbling and eye-opening. Their passion and pride for their community were evident throughout the tour, making the experience even more profound. This journey has inspired me to spring into action and find ways to make a difference. It’s not just a tour—it’s an opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow. I highly recommend this experience, and I’m deeply grateful to the guide for making it so memorable. 5 stars! Thank you!!!
