We had a marvellous time with Erika from beginning to end. We learned that Erika was a professional in another field for many years, but she fell in love with being a tour-guide and kept it as her job. We were glad to have someone who loved her job so passionately, happy all the times, well equipped and behaved professionally! Erika took us through the Western Bridge over the Cauca Rive, and into Santa Fe de Antioquia, and was very knowledgable of the places. Did you know the engineer of the Western Bridge, José Maria Villa Villa was also involved as an engineer with the NY Brooklyn Suspension Bridge? Erika engaged us proactively with great conversations throughout the tour. Santa Fe de Antioquia is a small, pretty colonial town with characters. Despite it is small and not as high profile as Guatapé, there are some quaint boutique hotels, restaurants and a small well maintained museum. For those who like gold, there are some small shops selling lovely items. Erika also took us to a local fruit stand, and we ate fruits that we never had before, some didn't even look like fruits at all! It was a breath of fresh air getting away from the crowded Medellin, and we recommend this small town tour, especially with Erika as your guide!
