Overview

The experience will start with a detailed introduction to the agricultural methods we adopted, how our biodynamic production method works, and the farm's history. Enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch that includes 4/5 own-produced organic wines and 6 extra virgin olive oils with it. Just a few minutes walk from San Gimignano town center, with a spectacular view on the Medieval towers of the town. An Italian/ English-speaking member of the staff will follow you in the activity with a professional and family warm welcome.

Podere La Marronaia- Le Colonne Biodynamic Winery & Farm

Meet a small family-run farm in San Gimignano dedicated to the cultivation of grapes and olives and the production of wines and extra virgin olive oil. In 2000, the farm decided to convert all production to the organic method of cultivation, which involves the use of only natural products exploiting the natural fertility of the soil and considering the entire ecosystem. Since 2003, all products are certified organic. The wine tasting venue is located within walking distance from the town center, in the beautiful surrounding scenery with a view of the towers of San Gimignano and the Vernaccia vineyard. The activity starts by visiting the Vernaccia vineyard, and concludes with a wine and olive oil tasting paired with a Tuscan lunch. This place is magical. We made bruschetta and pasta then enjoyed some wine to go with it afterwards with an incredible view of the Tuscan hills. Everyone that worked here was professional, considerate, and attentive. My wife and I had to pinch ourselves because it seemed to be a dream. Can’t say enough great things about this experience, a must go to fully experience the Tuscan beauty.

What a shear delight. We had a most wonderful afternoon tasting organically grown grapes and food with such a knowledgeable young man who helped explain each wine we drank as well as the organic pasta meal that came with the wines. Unlike wine tasting I’ve been to in the US each variety we tasted was a full glass so the four of us finished each bottle. The bottles were paired nicely with breads crackers and other sorted delights. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better they brought out a delicious pasta lunch with our last bottle of reserve red wine. Could not have asked for more

Everything worked perfectly. The food, wine, olive oils and balsamic were very tasty. The staff was very friendly and the view to the city of San Gimignano was really nice. We enjoyed every moment of it!

This tour totally exceeded our expectations! We thought we would be tasting wine in some dark cellar. Instead, we were seated on a beautiful sunny veranda where we were served by the lovely Margarita. We spent over 90 minutes tasting four wines, three balsamic vinegars, and six different olive oils. And the food just kept on coming out! Everything was delicious!! And from there, a short drive to San Gimignagno and great shopping. Highly recommend!
